I have a friend who has offered the most unique encouragement in posting links, and he goes by the name of Frisk E. Willy. I wasn't sure what to make of him at first, but it turns out he's a fun-loving and very clever guy. Twice now he's posted some "fan mail" that has made my jaw drop (in a good way), and I'm suspect he'll be back at it again in no time.
Now, before I post his handiwork, let me say that I do not post links on this blog or elsewhere for any other reason than I enjoy helping people. I'm not one who likes to bring a lot of attention to myself -- I just plod along doing my thing and if someone says thanks, it makes my day. If not, I keep plodding. Bearing this in mind, you can imagine how tickled I was when I got Mr. Willy's first "ode":

But soft! What light through yonder tree-line breaks? It is the East, and Our Joyce is the Sun! Arise all Zoobies and praise her work, for it saveth our ass on the feed...!
I just about died laughing when I first saw this! I couldn't believe it!! But I took it in the spirit it was meant and was quite grateful for the gratitude... and chuckled for days if not weeks.
His latest work is even more ambitious! He (re)wrote a song in my honor! Consider this to the tune of My One and Only You by the Platters:
IN PRAISE OF JOYCE'S TREE COLLECTIONS
++++++++++++++++++++++++++
MY ONE AND ONLY ZOO
-----------------------------
Only you,
can make my zoo seem right;
Only you,
can make upgrades take flight!
Only you and your gift trees,
can can let me work my zoo,
and fill my landscaped isles:
'cause of what you do!
Only you,
can make these changes be.
For it's true:
you supply my forestry!
When you post those stands, I understand
the magic that you do!
They make my dreams come true
of a spectacular zoo!
(with apologies to the Platters and heartfelt thanks to Joyce Spear : Frisky Willy)
Isn't that hilarious? I still grin from ear to ear whenever I think of it!
Mr. Willy, thank you so much for your creative expressions of gratitude. As I said before, I don't require a lot of attention for what I do, but I have to say -- you make my day! Thank YOU!
Smiles,
Joyce
That is so neat! Mr. Willy really has a talent! It's always nice to be appreciated for what you do, but even nicer when it's expressed in such a unique manner!
